In order to drive awareness and sales of the new Asus 32″ 4K ProArt Series monitor, and to establish Best Buy as a destination for the latest in Asus monitor technology, the company was planning to run an online contest supported by a strong media buy.
By partnering with a local photographer, the plan would be to leverage their expertise to showcase the key features of this premium Asus monitor in a short documentary-style promotional video aimed at other photographers and artists.
A concept was developed which follows a ‘day in the life’ of Vancouver-based commercial and portrait photographer Brice Ferré, who recently has also begun photographing trail runners. We chose to focus on this type of Brice’s work, since it would really showcase the vivid colours and detail of the Asus monitor. Our CEO Jeff Pelletier happens to be a trail runner and outdoor filmmaker himself, so he was able to take the lead on this project and really have fun with it.
